Artistic Brilliance

Check out these really interesting photographs of the world's most famous landmarks. Apparently, there's a Switzerland-based artist by the name of Corinne Vionnet who scoured the internet for hundreds of amateur photos - yes; tourist snapshots - of these monuments then superimposed them into final pieces of art. The results are brilliant.

World Trade Center [New York]

If you look closely, you can see different shades + shadows that represent the vague silhouettes that exist in the original photographs. For me, the vague silhouettes serve as a reflection of the footprints we leave behind - both the living + deceased. It's a truly beautiful thing.

Acropolis of Athens [Greece]

Chichen Itza [Mexico]

Coliseum [Rome, Italy]

Eiffel Tower [Paris, France]

Louvre Pyramid [Paris, France]

Himeji Castle [Japan]

Mount Fuji [Japan]

Stonehenge [England]

Saint Basil's Cathedral [Moscow]

 Taj Mahal [India]

Tiananmen Square [Beijing, China]

Alien Dolls

"Alien Dolls" shot by Paco Peregrín for Avenue Illustrated

This editorial shot by Spanish photographer Paco Peregrín for Avenue Illustrated Magazine takes futuristic fashion to the next level. In my experience, polished futuristic aesthetics are rare. The glam team [styling by Kattaca | hair + m/u by Lewis Amarante] did a phenomenal job.

Animation Artwork

In the 50s through to the early 60s, Ray Pantin Studios produced hundreds of black + white commercials for television. These photos [some of which you may look familiar to you] are a few of the animation art they produced during that time.

Somehow, they make me feel safe. I Love 'em.
